Evolution - Experimental Film Short

This non-dialogue experimental film short examines the nature of mind and personal evolution. It was also owner Caitlin Reid's first-ever narrative short film! Check out the pre-production samples from her Director's Notebook, including storyboards, shot list, and more

This non-dialogue experimental film short, developed for owner Caitlin Reid's first narrative short in film school, was initially about running away from one's inner world , and how you can only run so long before it makes itself known. It developed into an idea of the nature of mind.

Particularly when we are upset, our thoughts and emotions become increasingly chaotic, disjointed, and iterative. We never have just one thought or feeling about anything - there is always a constant stream of thoughts and feelings piling on top of each other - and they change as time passes and we experience new things.

Through making new choices, that change can be harnessed for personal evolution, and we can become ready for things we previously didn't think we could handle.
